As we go into what feels like day 145892 of the Q, I thought I would share some of the things I’ve been doing to keep myself from going crazy in my leetle apartment.
GET OUTDOORS
I cannot stress this one enough. As you probably saw on my insta, my pup Odie gets me outside constantly, which is honestly such a perk! I don’t know about you guys, but I can easily spend an entire day inside and not step a foot out from my apartment. Since I have to take Odie out so often, I’m constantly getting fresh air and sunshine (don’t forget to slab on some sunscreen, SERIOUSLY!!! Idc if you’re only out for 5 minutes, DO IT!). Better yet, the majority of the time I end up going for a bit of a walk because I’m enjoying my time outside of the apartment I’ve been trapped in during the Q. Which leads me to my next point:
STAY ACTIVE
You do NOT have to tell me how hard it is to find motivation to work out at home. I feel you one million percent. It also seems as if every single store out there is sold out of any at-home equipment you would need to do these workouts, right? I’m lucky to have had a lot of equipment at home already, BUT even if you don’t have any, it doesn’t mean you can’t get your sweat on. Like I said in my previous point, go for a walk! No equipment needed. I usually put in my AirPods, get a good podcast going (I’ve been loving The Morning Toast and The Health Code) and set out for who knows where. If you’re tired of walks, try to find some fun and easy workouts on YouTube. This one and this one are killer. I love MadFit, Sarah’s Day and Tone It Up. I hear that Chloe Ting is great too!
Currently, I’m getting down with the Sweat App. It does cost money, but I’ve found it super worth the price. I have barely found a reason to skip workouts lately because this app makes me feel so excited to get sweaty!
**Just remember, “Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands, they just don’t” –if you don’t know what this is from, I’m sad.
COOK SOMETHING NEW
YAASSSS. I 👏 have 👏 been 👏 BUSY 👏 in the kitchen during the Q. Making banana bread and choc chip cookies out the WAZOO! Seriously though, now that we have all this time, crack open those dusty cook books and get to creating! Better yet, just do a quick survey of the ingredients you already have and create something. You may surprise yourself 😏.

GO THROUGH STUFF/ORGANIZE
I mean we have all this time, why not de-clutter a bit? I’ve been selling some old stuff on the app Mercari lately and I’ve been having a ton of luck. I think it’s WAY better than Poshmark. The app is cuter and the people are nicer. Just pick a day to clean out one area of one room and just keep truckin’ along. By the end of quarantine, you’ll be the cleanest betch in town.
Have you been doing any of these things? Lmk and gimme all the quarantine tips my loves! Here’s to getting through this crap together and coming out stronger because of it 💕
Until next time,
Alexis
